Checkups keep your smile looking and feeling great. As general dentists, Dr. Stovall and Dr. Cheng recommend regular, 6-month checkups for optimal oral health. We know you’re busy, so we’ll even send you a text message or e-mail to remind you of your appointment.
During your checkup, we’ll inspect your teeth for decay with our non-invasive DIAGNOdent laser. Dr. Stovall or Dr. Cheng will also assess your existing dental work, jaw and bite position, and soft tissues for signs or oral cancer or periodontal disease. Digital X-rays will show us a complete view of your oral health and expose you to about 80% less radiation than traditional radiographs. Pictures from an intraoral camera displayed on your chairside monitor will let you view the condition of your teeth and gums. As general dentists, we promote patient education and co-diagnosis. We'll use the pictures to explain our findings and work with you to develop a treatment plan that suits your needs.
